The Evian Championship continues to strengthen its sports policy through the global exposure received by its qualifying tournaments in Europe, the USA and Korea. Once again this year, these competitions will offer 5 players the opportunity to take their place in the highly select line-up for the 5th and final Major of the season (the field comprises 120 players selected according to stringent eligibility criteria).

Henriksson Records First Win At VP Bank Ladies Open

Finland’s Linda Henriksson claimed her first LETAS victory in the VP Bank Ladies Open at GC Gams-Werdenberg, with a solid par round in tough conditions. The Finn set the clubhouse lead at four under par and Nina Pegova of Russia, matched Henriksson’s round of 72 to draw level. None of the fifty-two players who had qualified for the final round were able to break par as the strong and gusty winds took their toll.
Third Win In Sight For MacLaren

Meghan MacLaren remains in the fast lane and is heading for her third LETAS victory at the VP Bank Ladies Open in Eastern Switzerland. In round two, the Englishwoman has taken the sole lead. However, her advantage going into the final round is only one better than Karolin Lampert. The German, who plays mainly on the Ladies European Tour, is in good shape early in the season with a top 10 finish on the LET three weeks ago in Morocco.
