Spain's Maria Beautell won her national professional title, the DISA Spanish Championship, in a two-hole play-off against Raquel Carriedo at Golf del Sur in Tenerife on Friday.
The 33-year-old from Santa Cruz shot a final round of 71, one under par, to tie with Raquel Carriedo at even par for the tournament.
Beautell was also selected by a panel to receive the Marta Figueras-Dotti Scholarship, an initiative introduced in order to support player development. The scholarship consists of a minimum cash sum of 10,000 euros, a free management service, as well as coaching from Marta Figueras-Dotti, an icon of Spanish professional golf and director of the tournament.
Beautell will be back in action on the LET Access Series, when she competes in the Azores Ladies Open at Golf de Batalha, Sao Miguel Island from the 3 - 5 October.
